You'd have collected lots of rubber bands from your daily or weekly shopping. Don't throw them away, as they can be used or recycled to make a rubber band dress. As shown above is the Rubber Band Dress II that was made using 14,000 rubber bands by New York-based architect and designer Margarita Mileva.
The Rubber Band Dress II is comprised of 4kgs (8.8lbs) of rubber bands, and is part of Mileva’s ongoing series of fashion items that include rubber band accessories including belts, bracelets, necklaces and hairpieces. It was created for the WEAR is ART Competition in Berlin, Germany.
The 4kg weight of the rubber bands seems to be too much and a burden for the wearer. Although it looks colorful with different colored rubber bands but it should add little burden to the wearer for having to carry the 4kg weight.
